Everything is Art. Every person is an Artist.
I do not create for the advancement of creation. I create because I enjoy it.
I share my creations because I love to share that joy.
Material things by themselves are of no value. The value comes when we give it. Right now, I do not work with fine metals and rare gemstones firstly, because I do not have the money. But this is just fine because the price of the materials is far from what gives my pieces value. The value of my pieces comes from the concepts, the expressions, the art I give them. The value of my pieces comes from the value that others bestow upon them. That being said, I love to give my pieces a story, a life, but if a piece I make provokes a different idea or feeling in a person, I am excited just the same. So please, enjoy fully the meaning I give my pieces and/or allow yourself to extract whatever meaning your heart desires. ~ maybe I made it just for you and didn't realize ~
I am inspired by spontaneity, the human condition, and the more unseen interaction and relation between living things. My pieces tend to have an archaic, primitive, feel intermixed with concepts and imagery born from my inner world. You might see me speak of my "inner world" or my "home" in other areas of this site. It feels hard for me to explain exactly what I mean by those terms to people who don't spend much time "home". But here is my best shot. Everyone has an inner world, a home, they came from when they are not outside. It is common for people to be outside so much they forget they have a home. I can not describe to you what home feels like, because it is possible your home is different than mine. You never lose your connection to home, you might even briefly connect for a split second and not even realize. Some people visit home very often and feel it, but don't stop to make the distinction and maybe shrug it off so they don't feel crazy. Sometimes when you are very conscious of your home and conscious that everyone else has a home, you can visit the homes of others... if they invite you. To know your home is a great way to know yourself. To visit others homes is a great way to know others. To know both is a great way to fully understand and enjoy a relationship. So, through the art you see on this site, I would like to invite you into just one space of the world I call home.
